One of the most common questions: “How long will this take to heal?”
The honest answer?
It depends.
Recovery timelines vary based on:
Type and severity of injury
How long it’s been present
Your activity level
Consistency with rehab
General expectations:
Mild issues: a few weeks
Moderate injuries: 4–8 weeks
Long-standing or complex issues: several months
But timelines aren’t linear.
Why recovery feels slow
Progress doesn’t happen in a straight line:
Some days feel better
Some days feel worse
That’s normal.
What speeds up recovery
Early and appropriate movement
Consistent rehab
Gradual progression
Avoiding long periods of inactivity
What delays recovery
Waiting too long to address it
Stopping rehab early
Overdoing it too soon
The key mindset: Don’t focus only on time, focus on progress and consistency.
If you’re unsure whether your recovery is on track, we can assess your progress and give you a realistic plan moving forward.
